WHY BLOGGING?

Reading is my life. I find it more exciting than spending a day at the beach{call me a nerd}. Writing on the other hand is my not so favourite. If it's not for marks at school or an entry into my diary, then i probably won't bother writing anything that exceeds five lines. So why did i start a blog? The answer is simple; boredom and OB ABENSER{ Founder of AuntieOboshie then FashionistaGh and Excelsis}

I completed my diploma course yesterday.{diploma in communication studies,GIJ} What this means is that i have so much time on my hands but i have nothing to do, absolutely nothing. So my neighbour{Bra Ob} suggested that i do something profitable with my time. He suggested i travel or start a blog.Well with the current condition of my purse, travelling is out of the question. Moreover my over-protective dad will not permit it{i love him ruff}. I will take up travelling some day soon. That will be when my purse is smiling with me.

So here i am, with my own blog. Thanks to my "dadabee with hard labour neighbour". Actually I created this blog with his WI-FI. I don't do role models, but i would love to write like him. You can visit his blog too, obabenser.blogspot.com
Its 10:41pm and i am going to bed.
oh but i will be back. This is my new baby.

IT STARTS WITH YOU

Okay I am so excited right now. You remember in my very first post WHY BLOGGING I explained why I started a blog {I still can't believe its been a week already}. Because my main motivation was boredom, I didn't really give much thought to who was reading. As long as I kept my fingers and brain busy I was okay. However after writing my first real post this view I so believed changed. I realized I really wanted people to listen to what i had to say. If just a person would make sense and take sense out of my writings, I would be fulfilled. Imagine my surprise when my childhood buddy called me this afternoon. I couldn't even make his voice out because it has indeed been years since I last heard him speak. So I am busy trying to recognize the voice and I hear him say, "TECHNOLOGIZED" And I'm thinking "whoa he actually read my blog?". Was it a coincidence that my childhood friend should call me after reading a post about keeping relationships alive?...

IS THIS GHANA?

      Almost every Ghanaian has at some point in their educational journey written about their country. I recall how passionate we were, trying to find good things to say about Ghana. Even though the only people who were going to read our essays were our teachers, we endeavored to give it our best. We couldn't write about Ghana and exclude this line, "Ghanaians are hospitable". It run through almost all our essays. Indeed during my primary school days, Ghana was a hospitable country.      Ghana was that place where you could sit in a commercial vehicle and struck up a conversation with someone you had just met. Ghana was the place where you could meet someone on the pavement of Accra and start discussing the latest episode of "Storm over paradise". A place where we would rather talk and argue than resort to violence. That was my Ghana.Today I wonder if we can proudly say that line, "Ghanaians are hospitable".      For d...

TECHNOLOGIZED

     So I'm sitting in my room, watching a movie about two blondes and I can't even make heads or tails of the plot, probably because i am busy chatting on my phone at the same time.      In the course of the movie, I hear my stomach growl and the struggle began.The problem here is, I really do not want to leave my room into that hot sun. So I think hey, "why don't I call a friend and ask that he brings me food".  Just then i hear the voice of my friend Samuel whisper in my mind, 'Your room is really your comfort zone.' Indeed he has a point,i barely leave my room unless its absolutely necessary. I am surrounded by all i need. I have my laptop,my phone, a strong internet connection, a television i barely watch, a fridge for food, a ceiling fan and whatnot.{Thank God for technology}. So basically, i have all the entertainment a young adult could possibly want.     About two weeks ago i recall i was having a conversation on wha...
